Accident Investigation Concluded

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police have concluded their investigation into a fatal motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of a fifty-nine year old woman.

In a media release, T.B.P.S. state, “The collision that took the life of motorcyclist Marianne Guitard on June 14th at the intersection of North Cumberland St at Marina Park Drive has been concluded.

:A 19 year old male driver has been charged with Careless Driving, section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act, and will appear in court in September”.

Careless driving — s. 130
130. Every person is guilty of the offence of driving carelessly who drives a vehicle or street car on a highway without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the highway and on conviction is liable to a fine of not less than $400 and not more than $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or to both, and in addition his or her license or permit may be suspended for a period of not more than two years.
