THUNDER BAY – UPDATED – The old Capital Theatre in downtown Fort William is coming down. Crews have arrived on Brodie Street and the equipment is in place to knock down the old and empty building that houses many memories for many residents of the city.

At one time there were plans to revitalize the building and help restore its old glory.

Demolition started at 7:50AM EDT as the crews began to tear down the building.
