THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police arrested a suspect in a stabbing incident that happened Saturday night around 7:00PM EDT on the southside of the city. A twenty-three-year-old Weagamow Lake man was taken into custody after an alleged stabbing incident that resutled in a thirty-three-year-old man to hospital.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of George Street, near Shelter House. The thirty-year-old victim was reported with non-life-threatening injuries. There were reports on Saturday night that the individual had passed away. Thunder Bay Police were not commenting on the incident last night.

There was a noted increased police presence in the Fort William downtown last night with pairs of uniformed officers on foot patrol and increased marked units patrolling the downtown.
