THUNDER BAY – Crime News – Thunder Bay Police report that the investigation into an accident at Arthur and Franklin Streets has been concluded. The officer who was driving the police cruiser involved in the accident has been charged with failing to stop for a red light pursuant to section 144(18) of the Highway Traffic Act.

The officer was enroute to a call for service, but it was a non-emergency situation.

Fortunately the police officer was not injured and is back to work on her regular schedule.

The female driver of the other vehicle and her two children suffered minor injuries.

The motor vehicle collision occurred at 7:43PM EDT on April 10, 2014.
