Senator Patrick Brazeau Fighting Back
OTTAWA – Patrick Brazeau was the youngest member of Canadian Senate in history at age 39. Senator Brazeau was appointed to the Senate by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. The controversial former National Chief of the Congress Aboriginals people is currently suspended from the Senate and is facing charges of fraud and breach of trust in court following allegations that he claimed living expenses he wasn’t entitled too.
Brazeau is determined to fight the charges, and get back to Parliament Hill.

However in the meantime he’s going to be participating in a Great North Wrestling event on Saturday May 10th 2014 at 7:30PM at the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Center in Smiths Falls Ontario.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be going towards the Gerry Low Memorial fund.
Patrick, who was known as “Brass Knuckles” when he took on the leader of the Liberal party Justin Trudeau in an amateur boxing match in 2012, is no stranger to athletics.
He has a sporting history and works out regularly.
Brazeau’s role in this event however will not be as a competitor but as a “special guest” referee in a match between World Wrestling Entertainment Legend “The Honky Tonk man” and International wrestling sensation from Montreal, Sexy Eddie.
The Honky Tonk Man holds the record for being the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time and has been a Great North Wrestling regular since 2007. He is still employed with the WWE under a special “Legends” contract and occasionally makes appearances for the company. Honky was best known for his feuds with Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and The Ultimate Warrior.
In an interview this week Senator Brazeau said he is a lifelong wrestling fan, and is excited to be part of the charity event.
He also commented on his former boxing opponent Justin Trudeau’s recent F-Bombs at a charity boxing match last week.
Brazeau, who claimed in the same interview that he threw their boxing contest stated “Well look, there’s always a time and place to speak our minds and to use words intelligently and unfortunately that wasn’t very good on his part.”
Advance tickets for the May 10th Great North Wrestling event at the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Center start at $15 and are available online through ticketweb.ca, at the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Center box office or at the Rideau Valley Winery in Smiths Falls.
