Good Morning Thunder Bay! – Astronaut Chris Hadfield
THUNDER BAY – News – Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield engaged the world during his journey aboard the International Space Station. The now retired Astronaut will now be making a stop in Thunder Bay on June 4th as a part of Leadership Thunder Bay.
“Commander Chris Hadfield’s mission to the International Space Station made for an amazing journey in my classroom from science, to literacy to music and social media,” stated Kelly Green a Grade Six teacher at Ogden Community School. “It made for a great teaching year. Our students will be so excited to see him in June”.
Colonel Hadfield will spend time in the city with students from both the Lakehead Public Schools and Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.
More than 1500 students will attend the event live at the community auditorium.

There will be two public events where Colonel Hadfield will be engaging with the public, the first during the day for students.
The second event open to the general public will be in the evening.
Leadership Thunder Bay’s Kristen Oliver says that this is a very highly anticipated event for Leadership Thunder Bay.
