Women in Politics Workshop

THUNDER BAY – FCM members will also participate in a Women in Politics session in Thunder Bay on March 8, which aligns with International Women’s Day.

The Women in Politics session will run from 1-4:30PM at the Valhalla Inn.

The meeting will include addresses by elected women from other Canadian communities who are attending the FCM Spring Meeting in Thunder Bay.

A Question and Answer Period and Roundtable Discussion are also on the agenda.

Interested politicians, candidates, and their supporters can register at paro.ca, and admission is $15.

“This will be an exciting, informative and inspiring event,” said Thunder Bay City Councillor Rebecca Johnson. “I’m pleased these elected women are going to join us to share their stories and experiences. Our goal is to get more women involved in politics, and this is a wonderful way to do just that. It’s very appropriate to be holding this session on International Women’s Day.”

The Women in Politics Session will be carried live on NetNewsLedger.com
