Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Crime Report – Thunder Bay Police have removed an estimated $61,120.00 in illegal drugs from the market.

On the February 25th, 2014, in a media statement, Thunder Bay Police Service report, “The Thunder Bay Police Drug Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a Chippewa Road, Totem Trailer Park residence.   At approximately 1304 hours, Detectives entered the residence and arrested a male and a female on drug related charges.

“A search of that residence lead officers to located 336 grams of Cannabis Marihuana.  Officer’s also located a safe that was locked and bolted to the closet floor.  A subsequent search of the safe revealed one hundred (100) yellow ecstasy tabs, four (4) ounces of crack cocaine and two (2) ounces of powder cocaine.  The combined total estimated street value of the controlled substances yields $61,120.00.

As a result of the police investigation twenty-six year old Richard Kirk Martin and twenty-nine year old Clara Diane Girard have  both being charged with possession of cocaine, marihuana and ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking.

Both have been released with a court date in March 2014.
