THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay residents are set to welcome home Haley Irwin with her gold medal in Women’s Hockey.

Acting Mayor Paul Pugh and members of Thunder Bay City Council are pleased to officially welcome home Gold Medal-Winning hometown hockey player Haley Irwin, tonight at the Thunder Bay International Airport.
 
Irwin was part of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team which won the Gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Councillor Pugh will present the Thunder Bay-born Irwin with a congratulatory scroll from the City when her flight arrives around 7:45 pm tonight. Thunder Bay residents are encouraged to welcome Haley Irwin back home, and offer their congratulations and show their pride for our local athlete.
