THUNDER BAY – Crime – Thunder Bay Police have laid fraud charges and charges of breach of trust against Linda Gambee. Gambee is the former head of the Christmas Cheer Fund. According to Thunder Bay Police she is accused of defrauding the Christmas Cheer Fund of about $22,000 while she was the Chairperson.
The sixty-year-old Gambee was removed from the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition Board in 2013 – the issue was concern over the ‘Open Bar’ at the CLE.
Gambee will appear in court in Thunder Bay on March 4 2014 on the charges.
