Hundreds of Traffic Accidents in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – Crime News – Thunder Bay drivers are seeming to have a hard time getting used to winter road conditions. Thunder Bay Police have been bumpers deep in dealing with 85 reported traffic accidents over the past twenty-four hours. There have been hundreds of traffic accident over recent days.

Body shops across the city along with towing companies are busy. Insurance adjusters will be out sliding in to help with claims from drivers impacted by accidents.

Thunder Bay Drivers Draw Humour

The Urban Dictionary, an online user generated website is defining a ‘Thunder Bay’ as “A specific road violation in which, while making a left-hand turn onto a double-laned road, the driver immediately pulls into the right lane instead of properly turning into the left lane and then, with blinker, merging into the right lane. The term is named after the Canadian city ‘Thunder Bay’ in which this aforementioned violation is rampant and part of everyday driving.

The message is drive safely and defensively.

Snow tires, clearing snow off of your vehicle, and staying off the roads when possible will assist the road situation.
