Snow in Thunder Bay Will Impact Morning Drive

THUNDER BAY – News – Thunder Bay has received about four cm of snow overnight with the forecast calling for more snow this morning. Up to five additional cm of snow could fall this morning. Thunder Bay road crews have already started the task of clearing major arteries, but side streets will likely take a little time.

Top stories to watch today:

An overnight fire on Dawson Road has Thunder Bay Fire Rescue on scene to battle the blaze. The fire is under investigation. No one was hurt in the blaze.

Thunder Bay City Council gets back to work tonight. Council will be hearing about plans for expansion of  the Dawson Apartments.

Prime Minister Harper along with a delegation that includes former Prime Ministers and dignitaries are in South Africa for the funeral of former South African President Nelson Mandela.

The Sounds of the Season on Friday raised over $42,000 with major donations from Resolute, Unifor and many many others. Donations to the RFDA can be made by phone throughout December by calling 1-855-768-7222.
