Thunder Bay Starts Digging Out
THUNDER BAY – UPDATED – 6:45EST – The winter storm warning has ended. Now Thunder Bay and communities across Northwestern Ontario are tasked with the job of cleaning up. Across the region, snow covered highways and roadways have up to 25 cm of snow. The amounts may be greater with drifting in some areas.
Thunder Bay School Update
Updated: 06:45EST – All Lakehead area schools will remain open except for Crestview, Five Mile, Gorham & Ware, Kakabeka Falls, McKenzie, Nor’wester View, Whitefish, and Valley Central.
School Buses however are cancelled for today.
The snowfall warning as of 05:17AM EST is still in effect for Marathon, Hornpayne, Geralton, and Longlac. Also Aroland, Nakina and areas to the further north including Attawapiskat.

There are a number of cancellations this morning at the Airport. Westjet Flight 130, along with Delta and KLM to Toronto at 6:30AM was cancelled.
