THUNDER BAY –  Thunder Bay Police advise there was a stabbing last night on the south side of the city.  As a result, a nineteen-year-old male is in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.

Police report that the man was stabbed twice in the chest and reportedly suffered a punctured lung.

The incident took place outside a residence on North Vickers Street just before 02:30EST this morning.

A twenty-three year old female is in custody as a result of the stabbing.

The accused will appear in court later today facing a charge of aggravated assault.

Road Conditions Across City

If you don’t have to travel, then consider staying home, main arteries are clear but side streets are not.

If you are heading out, be considerate of your fellow drivers and take the time to fully clear the snow from your vehicle. That snow will blow off making it harder for the drivers behind you to see.
