Heavy Metal Xmas set to tear the roof off Black Pirates Pub
Thunder Bay, ON – Wiggins Pro-Ductions will be hosting Heavy Metal Xmas, Wednesday, December 11 at Black Pirates Pub (215 Red River Rd). The night will feature some of the heaviest local bands around including The Unbalanced (hardcore), Bring Forth the Ocean (melodic hardcore), Fist Fight with Gandhi (experimental punk) and long awaited return of The Vilification (progressive metal) who will be performing for the first time with new vocalist, Brandon Buhn (ex-Great White Shark).
WP will be teaming up with local campus radio station, LU Radio 102.7FM by setting up a booth at the show where patrons can have their photos taken with Metal Santa, who will be in full corpse paint, a style of black-and-white makeup, used mainly by black metal bands during live concerts and photo shoots. The makeup is used to make the musicians appear inhuman, corpse-like, or demonic. All funds raised from the photo booth will go to LU Radio who have been supporting the local music scene for over ten years. Sponsoring the event will be Scotia Waddell of Elegant Embodiments, known for her ghoulish and detailed makeup work at the annual Zombie Walk in Thunder Bay.
Doors open at 8pm. Cover is $6. All ages welcome. For more information and full calendar of events, visit www.TBshows.com .
