THUNDER BAY – Events – Special guest, TVO television host, Steve Paikin, is joining the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay at its 12th Alzheimer Annual Rendezvous on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Victoria Inn. 

This fundraising event will also include a gourmet dinner, silent auction and balloon raffle.  New to the event this year is an exciting mystery jewellery box raffle, where guests can purchase one or more jewellery boxes for a chance to win a Links of London “Sweetie” bracelet valued at over $300. 

“As a signature fundraising event, the Alzheimer Rendezvous is a crucial source of income for the Alzheimer Society.” said Alison Denton, Executive Director of the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay.  “The money we raise plays a significant role in the delivery of the programs and services we provide to the over 2,300 individuals living with dementia in the district of Thunder Bay.” 

In addition to his television show, Paikin has authored five books, produced several TVO documentaries and moderated four major electoral debates.  With over 25 years in journalism, his speech promises to engage guests highlighting his insightful reflections on current affairs and social issues.
