FORT WILLIAM FIRST NATION – Good evening everyone; this evening the James street bridge was set on fire. Whether a terrible act of malice or mischief, or accidental; either way it has and will make a detrimental impact on our community and to those who rely on services via railway access.
This is unacceptable and I am at a mere loss of words to describe my anger, my frustration and my sadness.
I will pursue this as our safety, access, and economy has been severely threatened.
I demand answers. I will not take “NO” for an answer and expect those involved in this horrific act (if that is the case) be tried to the full extent of the law.
What the extent of damages are as of yet we do not know. However one thing is for sure; I will pursue the construction of new bridge. Something that is long over due.
Creator was looking down upon us as no one was injured throughout this ordeal.
Please be safe; once I have full update I will provide.
* There are many speculations at this time. Please be mindful of this. I will provide update with information as soon as I receive first hand. At this time we do not know the cause of fire. *
