Thunder Bay Hydro customers impacted by power outage

Solar Energy Project Completed

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Hydro has completed the installation of solar panels. The project has seen solar panels installed on rooftops of the Port Arthur Arena, Mountdale Maintenance Garage, the Thunder Bay Transit Building and Victoriaville Centre.

The last of six City building’s started collecting solar energy on Tuesday.

Thunder Bay Hydro officials hosted a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.  

The solar project will see power collected from what hydro officials state is the massive amount of sunshine that Thunder Bay enjoys.
