EAR FALLS – The community centre in Ear Falls has been upgraded. Northwestern Ontario is seeing a bounty of federal resources applied north of North Bay. “I am proud to see the concrete results that this investment, through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund, has delivered for the people of the Township of Ear Falls,” said Minister Greg Rickford. “When we improve local facilities, we are improving the quality of life of Canadians; helping to strengthen our communities; and building a more prosperous Northern Ontario.”
The project was funded through the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund, and Ear Falls had received $55,537 in funding for the roof insulation project last year. Ear Falls mayor Kevin Kahoot said it was exciting to see the project take place.
“On behalf of Council and the community, we are pleased to see our local recreation centre revitalized with the completion of the roof project. The support we have received from the Government of Canada was crucial to undertake this project,” added Mayor Kohoot.
