Camp Quality - ClaraTHUNDER BAY – For the campers of Camp Quality Canada , it is an accepted fact that there will be a next year for not only them, but also for Camp Quality ( CQ) . The camp organizing team at CQ Northwestern Ontario, recently reviewed the results of the summer 2013 end of camper evaluation for the campers.

Camp Quality Inside RideThe results gave lots of helpful advice about food , theme , likes, dislikes. When I reflect on the results, we must not have asked about why they choose to come to Camp Quality, but I can assume that, it is a given; it is their week to shine, to laugh, to put aside worries and be stars.

For those who are new to us, Camp Quality is a non-profit, volunteer organization that, inaddition to our signature week-long camping experience, provides year-round support forchildren with cancer (receiving treatment or in remission) and their families.

The fact that “it is a given” that there will be a camp again next year, it means the organizers need to refresh themselves, reorganize and take a good look at the future. As I personally have been with CQ since 2001, I have changed my role a few times but have for the most part been involved with raising money. It is time for me to move on; take a break; smell the roses; enjoy my grandkids because they are only little for a short time.

I am also involved as Vice President of Camp Quality Canada and this gives me a chance to help lead an organization from my grass root perspective. I am wrapping up my last few months of my service to CQNWO and your help ensures that the program continues, also supporting the current and future organizers.

Wednesday, October 16th, is a big day. We will be hosting the National Inside Ride at the C.L.E. Coliseum and will be on site from 4:00pm on preparing for our 3rd annual event. How about entering a team and being part of this fun filled event?

www.thunderbay.theinsideride.com At 7:00pm we will be drawing for the Youth Sized ATV raffle that has been out and about for several months. You can still buy your tickets for $2 or 3/$5 at Badanai Motors, Dulux Paints next to McDonalds, Lakehead Motors, Oliver Rd Can-OP.

Our campers will thank you for it!
