Shift Network Tours Thunder Bay Businesses

THUNDER BAY – Business – The Shift Network, Thunder Bay’s young professionals were prowling the streets of the Fort William Business District tonight. 

The ‘Shifters’ were on a tour of the businesses, got the chance to stop in at many of the local shops and see the excitement that local businesses in the downtown south are starting to build. “We have a Neighbourhood to Build” is the theme a growing number of business owners, and property owners are rallying behind.

At the Unveiled Bridal Boutique, owner and entrepreneur Shelby Ch’ng shared her experience in opening a new business, and how her dream has come together in the Fort William Business District.

Shift stated, “This annual event is a great opportunity to experience businesses in the Fort William Business District like never before, while travelling in style by SHIFT bus. This year SHIFT will be visiting up to 8 establishments in the Fort William Business District where attendees will enjoy exclusive offers and product samples at participating local restaurants and retailers along the way, including delicious appetizers catered by Daytona’s Restaurant at the Thunder Bay Museum, the “After Crawl” Hot Spot”.

After Unveiled Bridal, the Shifters put it into gear and marched over to Steeper’s Tea on May Street. There owner Pat Ramirez shared knowledge about the many different types of teas that Steepers has to offer.

The tour included Shout Media, The Paro Centre, and other businesses in the downtown south.
