THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are investigating an overnight incident involving a male found going through vehicles armed with a firearm.

At approximately 5:50EDT Thunder Bay Police received a call from a resident in the 1300 block of Tarbutt Street after he discovered a male attempting to ransack his vehicle.  When the resident attempted to approach the male he was confronted by the male pointing a rifle at him and ordering him to get back into his home.

The male has been described as Native Canadian male in his twenties and wearing a light blue hoodie. The male fled on foot toward the Francis Street area.

Police are asking the public to call police when they observe suspicious persons or activity to protect themselves from potentially dangerous confrontations.  Anyone knowing the identity of this male is asked to contact the Thunder Bay Police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 623-8477 or www.tipsubmit.com.
