THUNDER BAY – The true spirit of Thunder Bay is being shown as concerned and caring residents are stepping up to help a local restaurant. Last week, as reported on NNL Galo Restaurant on Red River Road had their sign vandalized. From his hospital bed in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Chef Richard ‘House’ Moorey, recovering from back surgery found out what happened.
Moorey started a social media effort to help Galo raising the money to get their new sign. The goal is $2000. This morning, the goal is almost at the one third level of reaching the goal.
Richard House Moorey So after a great couple days it appears that the spirit of TASTITUDE is alive and well in Thunder Bay! We are over a third of the way to getting the well deserving Sousa family a new sign to replace the vandalized sign at their eatery, GALO! In an effort to keep the TASTITUDE Pledges coming I have decided to make the dinner draw a gourmet in home 4 course dinner for 6! Custom prepared by yours truly! A value of over 400$!
Just pledge any amount and post it online with your name then drop your pledge off at GALO at your earliest convenience to enter. Also the next 10 Tastitude Pledges of any amount will get a custom Chef House recipe sent to their inbox as a bonus!
Please let’s finish strong we don’t have far to go! Lets show what a great and flavorful city we really are!
The effort has completely shocked the Sousa Family, leaving them almost speechless almost for the generosity of Thunder Bay.
