Thunder Bay Weather Alert in Effect

THUNDER BAY – Environment Canada reports, Alert has ended….. “This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall..Monitor weather conditions and listen for updated bulletins. Conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms along and ahead of a cold front today. Some of the thunderstorms may be capable of producing torrential downpours, large hail and damaging winds”.

Warm weather over the past several days is expected to continue.

Today’s forecast is for mainly cloudy skies with a sixty per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms this morning.

Skies should be clearing this afternoon. The mercury is expected to hit a high of 30. The UV index is 7 or high.

Heading out today, proper hydration is important. So is proper sunscreen.
