THUNDER BAY – Business – The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is hosting a luncheon on August 14th with special guest speaker the Honourable Greg Rickford, the Minister of State (Science and Technology and Fednor).

Minister Greg Rickford was elected in 2008 & 2011 as Member of Parliament for Kenora. In July 2013, he was appointed Minister of State for FedNor with special responsibility for the development of the Ring of Fire. The Chamber of Commerce luncheon offers the first time since Minister Rickford was appointed to the Harper cabinet, for local members of the business community to hear from the new Minister.

Minister Rickford will provide an outline of his new role and the activities that are ongoing within the Federal Government to ensure we harness the potential of the Ring of Fire for current and future generations.
