THUNDER BAY – 06:30AM EDT – WARNING ENDED – Environment Canada is warning that there is a potential for severe thunderstorms this evening. The Weather Service says, “This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall..Monitor weather conditions and listen for updated bulletins”.
Thunderstorms have redeveloped along a warm front that lies just south of the international border. These thunderstorms have the potential to become severe with the main threats being large hail. Damaging winds and heavy rain are a lesser threat. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out either.
There are storm warnings out across the district.
