Thunder Bay Police Release Murder Victim’s Name

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY  – Crime – The investigation into Thunder Bay’s second homicide of 2013 is continuing. Thunder Bay Police state that thirty- year-old Shannon Ashley Hogan was the victim’s name.  A post mortem examination has been conducted.  This examination was performed in Thunder Bay late yesterday.

The exact cause of death is being withheld by the Criminal Investigations Branch as they continue the investigation.  A crime scene in the alley way behind Lake Street is expected to be released sometime today.

TBPS state, “Shannon Hogan was involved in the adult sex trade here in Thunder Bay”. 

The Thunder Bay Police Service are reaching out to other women involved in the street level sex trade in an effort to inform them of the risks associated with this lifestyle and to seek information relative to this incident.

Investigators are actively following up on information that is coming forward.  Anyone with information is asked to contact police.  A special tip line has been setup which is 807 684-1330.
