THUNDER BAY – The promised opening of the Country Park Splash Pad is being pushed back slightly. Tim Commisso, the City Manager stated to NNL, “The contractors are on site and lined up to work til completed but they require good weather and two day pressure testing and chlorination period”.

That means there will be a slight delay in the opening.

Mayor Keith Hobbs states that the heat is on to get the project done. Jokingly the Mayor says he might have to get out there and supervise the City Managers to get this project completed.

“At the worse, come Saturday I will be out there with a hose,” stated Hobbs. The splash pad in County Park was targeted to open in 2012, when managers assured the public it would be open in “a few weeks”.
