THUNDER BAY – Entertainment – Welcome to the ‘Walk In’. The spring and summer series of movies in Prince Arthur’s Landing have been voted on by residents.

“The City of Thunder Bay would like to thank everyone who voted on Facebook during April to help choose the titles for the new Movie Nights in the Park – Late Night Series.  This new series starts next Friday, May 17, at Prince Arthur’s Landing and runs for three consecutive Fridays”.

Movie Nights in the Park

A great lineup of classic movies makes the Movie Nights in the Park – Late Night Series a not-to-be-missed FREE event this spring!

Thunder Bay Credit Unions proudly present the movie lineup, based on your input:

Friday, May 17 – E.T. (The Extra-terrestrial)

Friday, May 24 – The Breakfast Club

Friday, May 31 – JAWS

Movies will start after sunset, once it is dark.  In May, this is after 9:30pm, so warm clothing is recommended.  A host of hot and cold food and beverages will be on hand to satisfy your appetite, or bring a picnic and make it an evening outdoors at Prince Arthur’s Landing.  Before the show, visit the Baggage Building Arts Centre between 6:30pm and 8:30pm to grab a bite to eat while enjoying local entertainment at their Coffee House.  Please note that alcohol is not permitted at Movie Nights in the Park.

Audiences at Movie Nights in the Park this year will have the added pleasure of viewing a short film by a local filmmaker before each feature movie, so come early to get the best seat, purchase your movie snacks, and catch some excellent local talent.  There’s a perfect spot for your chair or blanket in front of the big screen overlooking beautiful Lake Superior at Prince Arthur’s Landing!

Input on titles for the five scheduled Movie Nights in the Park – Family Series nights in August and September will be available on Facebook in July. “Like” the City of Thunder Bay Facebook page to stay up-to-date with City event news and don’t miss the opportunity to place your vote.
