Police arrest homicide suspect

THUNDER BAY – Crime – Thunder Bay Police have a suspect in custody in the homicide case that happened on May Street.  A thirty-five year old male was arrested at approximately 10:20PMEDT Wednesday night in connection with the May Street homicide.

Police report that the arrest was made in the city’s south side without incident.

The incident shut down May Street last night between 6PM and almost 10PM when the Crime Scene Investigation left. Officers were on site protecting the crime scene and potential evidence.

This morning in the area, there is little evidence of the homicide. Local business owners are workers are feeling a little less safe however in the aftermath of the homicide.

Last night, officers had the area blocked off.

Sources tell NetNewsledger that the victim of the stabbing died at the scene in the arms of a friend. 

Thunder Bay Police promise more details later today.
