Lots of people were out enjoying the warmer weather on Friday night / Saturday morning. There is nothing wrong with people having a good time.

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police had their hands full overnight. There were six weapons offences, sixty-one Quality of Life calls, including three for drugs, and forty-four liquor offences. Five reports of Sexual Assaults, and thirteen Assaults added to the total of 168 calls for service since the last reporting period.

In addition, Thunder Bay Police share that far too many drivers have been ignoring the speed limits in school zones. The traffic division tweeted on Friday, “Officers are still seeing too many speeders in school zones(40km/h) and will be addressing this again today”.

Researchers who claim a full moon impacts people should have been in Thunder Bay proving the theory today.

Busy Night for Thunder Bay Police

The liquor offences were city-wide. There were several in the downtown cores in both the Fort William Business District and in the Waterfront District.

In the 100 Block of May Street there were liquor offences and assaults responded to by officers.
