Dryden Police seek public help in locating missing teenager

DRYDEN – Dryden Police are continuing a search for 15 year-old Kariya Taylor. Taylor was first reported missing on March 31st, and the teenager has yet to returned home or been in contact with family. Inspector Kevin Glenister says that they’ve previously used social media to track the teen, but can no longer do so.

“We’ve used Facebook and different accounts to put her name out there. Since then she’s closed her account, or someone closed her account but we assume it was her who closed it. We’re not able to track her that way anymore,” Glenister reported. “People have been having conversations with her on Facebook, so we know she’s somewhere,” he said.

As the search continues for Taylor, Glenister says it’s possible that she has left the city. “Right now we don’t know if she’s still in Dryden or in another community. We have no idea, no one has come forward recently with her exact whereabouts,” the Inspector continued

Glenister stated that Taylor is not in trouble with the police, and that they just want to see her return home safely.

Taylor is 5’5″ tall and has a slim build and shoulder length dark hair. Anyone with information on her location is asked to contact the Dryden Police Service at 807-223-3281.
