SAULT STE MARIE – Crime – Sault Ste Marie Police report, “On the 23rd March 2013 police were called to the 400 block of Fourth Line East regarding a rollover accident. On arrival it was discovered a passenger in the small pickup truck had been ejected from the vehicle and was suffering serious head and back injuries. Charged with Impaired Driving causing injury and consuming over the legal limit is Cody Steven Phillips (age 21). He will be appearing in court on the 29 April 2013. Traffic Services are currently continuing their investigation and ask that anyone who may have information to contact the Sault Ste Marie Police Service”.

Sault Ste Marie Police also report they observed a male walking in the downtown core they knew to be wanted. He was approached and arrested for the outstanding warrants. Charged with breach of probation x 3 is Randy Christopher Piazza (age 29) He will be appearing in WASH court on the 24th March 2013.

wo persons arrested for stabbing overnight.Shortly after 11 am this morning officers from Investigation Services arrested two persons for this robbery. A 21-year old male has been charged with one count of robbery and three counts of breach of probation. A 16-year old female has been charged with one count of robbery.The male’s name will be released later today.
The male victim remains in the hospital where he is being treated for non life threatening injuries.
The male victim had been confronted around 11:30 pm on the 21st of March. The suspects demanded the wallet from the victim and when the victim refused the male suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. It is alleged that the female suspect kicked the victim in the head while he was on the ground.
21 year old Jean Paul YADE of 680 Portage Lane has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, threatening death and 3 counts of breach of probation. Yade will appear in bail court on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m.
