Camp Quality NorthwestTHUNDER BAY – Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario ( CQNWO) campers and their families along with the 2012 volunteers will be getting reacquainted March 1- 3rd.  A number of people are packing their bags for a weekend adventure in Thunder Bay!

Camp Quality Northwest

CQNWO is a volunteer, charitable organization that supports children with cancer and their families and is more than a summer camp , it is also a year round program. Every winter for the past 11 years a weekend get together has been planned at the Best Western Nor’Wester Hotel. This year’s winter “camp” activities will include dog sledding, skiing, swimming, massage, manicures, hair styles, a 60’s theme banquet and the annual viewing of the CQ video, fireworks  and lots of chilling out and catching up.

You will be hearing more about the winter reunion weekend by another CQ blogger, but we thought we would give you a heads up about all the action around the “Nor’Wester” this weekend. Saturday evening , if you are in the vicinity you will get to see our great fireworks display.

On Friday evening ( March 1st )  our friends at Superior Credit Union will be making a cheque presentation at 7:30pm sharing their fundraising efforts for our cause. As our financial institute since our local Camp Quality started in 2001,  we are very thankful for this support!

All the events that are organized for Camp Quality would not be possible without the help of countless supporters. The annual yearbook is about to be distributed and supporters are listed. The weekend reunion wraps up 2012 by the initial distribution of the yearbook and 2013 is being ramped up. The 2013 campaign for funds is being planned and details are forthcoming.

Thanks to Netnewsledger for allowing us these opportunities to tell our story.
