On February 25, 2013 at 2:40pm Amanda Joyce MacEachern age 25, of 1713 Queen Street East, was arrested for uttering forged documents. It is alleged that on September 14, 2012 the accused attended the Ontario Disability office and attempted to turn in a rent receipt apparently signed by the landlord.  A call was made to the landlord and it was found that no rent money was received and the landlord did not sign any receipt. The accused will appear in court on April 8, 2013 at 9:00am.

On February 25, 2013 at approximately 8:00pm police checked a walking in the area of Wellington Street West and North Street. Officers recognized the accused male from previous dealings.  The check revealed that the accused is on probation with several conditions: 1) not to possess any weapons, 2) not to be out of his residence (house arrest) and 3) keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused was found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon (flick knife). Shawn Leslie Michael Reedy (Hodgson), age 30 of 86 Robin Street, was arrested for three counts of breach of probation and one count of possessing a prohibited weapon. The accused will appear in bail court on February 26, 2013 at 10:00am.

On February 26, 2013 at approximately 2:30am officers on general patrol noticed a vehicle go by them at a high rate of speed.  Officers activated the vehicle lights. The vehicle made a turn and hit a snow bank.  The accused attempted to flee on foot but a short time later was apprehended.  It was found that the accused was driving a stolen vehicle. The accused was also believed to be impaired and was eventually given a road side test and the accused registered a fail.  The accused was transported to the station at which time he was given follow up breath tests and failed. Ronald Christopher Hynds, age 23 of 164 Gore Street, upstairs apartment stands charged with consuming over the legal limit, possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000, theft over $5000, resist arrest and breach of probation.  The accused will appear in bail court on February 26, 2013 at 10:00am.
