THUNDER BAY – Business – Harold Wilson has submitted his resignation from the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce. The Board of Directors of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce have accepted the resignation of Wilson, who served as President of the Thunder Bay Chamber for the past three and a half years.
“It is with great regret that I have accepted, on behalf of the Board of Directors, a letter of resignation from our President, Harold Wilson”, stated Ed Schmidtke, Chair of the Board of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber will miss Harold. The organization has become a stronger organization during his tenure and has made great strides in adding members and increasing value for its members”.
Schmidtke continued, “Harold has been instrumental in leading the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce in our renewed lobbying efforts and revitalizing our Chamber. We have been fortunate to have had his enthusiasm, expertise and dedication.”
“This was not an easy decision to make”, stated Harold Wilson, “After much consideration, I have decided that I need to move on to other opportunities that will benefit from my experience. As a Past Chair as well, my association with our Chamber has been extensive, and I look forward to providing continued support for the Chamber and its considerable activities.”
‘Harold feels that this is right time to move on” added Schmidtke, “We will certainly miss him and wish him all the best. We will be searching for a replacement very soon”.
