THUNDER BAY – Buff Parry will be in Thunder Bay to present his work and his most recent decode into the enigma of Jacob’s pillow stone, as referred to in the Book of Genesis.
The Book of Genesis, the beginning of the bible, and the beginning of a story that triggered a forty year journey for international scholar, author, researcher, trained scientist and poet Louis Buff Parry.
Buff Parry lecture to offer insight
Buff Parry, as he prefers to be called, has worn many hats in his lifetime including that of hotel operator, published poet, and farmer.
He has been the President of the Canada Council of Islamic Awareness Foundation, the President of Mountain Cree Camp Syllabics Institute, and in his spare time hangs out with Noam Chomsky.
Buff Parry currently teaches on the campus of the University of Alberta through the Department of Saint Stephen’s College.
He is a guest lecturer in the University of Alberta Department of Education this semester, c/o Prof Makere Stewart-Harawira, on the subject of Religions, Traditions, and Moral Education, more formally listed as “Islamic Tradition, Moral Philosophy and Education”.
A central feature of the presentation will be the premiere of Leonardo da Vinci’s encoded reference to this stone relic in his encrypted “Citta di Calindra” as found in Da Vinci’s notebook circa-1500. The highly ciphered letter to “al-Diodario”, who turns out to be the Minister of Finance for Ottoman Sultan Beyazid II, will be presented to the world for the first time here in Thunder Bay.
“The premiere of this decipherment is of great importance to the study of Da Vinci’s work.” reports Mr. Parry. Carlo Pedettri, the world’s leading expert on Leonardo Da Vinci, has referenced Mr. Parry’s work and at a press conference in Los Angeles in December 2009 shared that Mr. Parry had conducted the decipherment but did not give any details.
The reference to this stone in the notes Leonardo of Da Vinci add to the mounting credibility of Mr. Parry’s research into Jacob’s Pillow Stone, also known in many circles as “The Holy Grail.” Andrew Gough, editor of Great Britain’s “The Heretic” magazine” believes Mr. Parry to be correct in his findings and will be publishing an article on Parry’s work in the near future.
Lori Paras, organizer of the lecture and VIP dinner to be held at Ruby Moon Restaurant says, ”Whether you are an active enthusiast of alternative ideas of history, accepted history, or are interested in the ever intriguing story of The Holy Grail, this lecture will provide a warm escape in the chill of a long Canadian winter”.
The event at Lakehead University will also see the premiere of the song Lapis Exilis, written and sung by Lewis and Hunter Cardinal, also known as “Blue Sky”. The music video is a tribute to Buff Parry’s work and commitment to his community of Edmonton.
The Pillow to Pillar Lecture will be held Thursday, February 21 at 7 pm in Lakehead University’s Upper Lecture Theatre.
A VIP Dinner with Mr. Parry will be held at Ruby Moon on Friday, February 22. Advance ticket purchase necessary.
