police carTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The Thunder Bay Police Service are cautioning citizens to be aware of a male who is reported to be defrauding people of money over the past few months. The Police reports that a caucasian male has been attending various churches in Thunder Bay, and befriending parishioners. He will usually give a story that will play on the heart strings of individuals to give him money and in some cases access to their bank accounts.

A significant amount of money has been taken in some incidents.

The suspect is a Caucasian male approximately 55 years of age. He is described as being 6’2″ tall with a medium build and has graying hair.

If anyone has been a victim of a fraud relating to this male, they are asked to call the Thunder Bay Police at 684-1200. Anyone with information about the identity or the whereabouts of this male is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers at 623-8477.
