Centennial Square will soon see Renco Foods opening!

THUNDER BAY – Business News – Renco Foods is expanding. The grocery retailer is set to open in Centennial Square in the downtown Fort William Business District. The move is welcome news for local residents and business owners who have noted the change since the former Quality Market grocery store closed last October.

There are several opportunities in the downtown Fort William Business District, with several businesses positioning themselves for the opening of the new courthouse in the downtown core.

Downtown Fort William Business District

The Fort William Business District was re-branded from the earlier Victoria Avenue Business District in April 2012. The move involved several steps to reach out and change the image of the core area. The move included new banners on the light posts, flower pots and a planned series of events.

The new court house is going to have an impact on the downtown south core. Already some businesses are renovating, some like New York Sub have opened with an expanded seating area, and delicious menu for lunch. As well new businesses such as Unveiled Bridal have opened on Victoria Avenue South.

The area is working hard to get set for more activities as the court house construction continues.
