Seventh Homicide of 2012 Likely as Assault Victim Passes Away Due to Injuries

crime newsTHUNDER BAY – Crime – It is likely Thunder Bay now has its seventh homicide of 2012. Moses Meekis Kakekagumick was the victim of an assault at his Brant Street home on December 2012. As a result of the injuries he suffered in that incident, he has passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Kakekagumick, who was twenty-eight years of age died in hospital on Tuesday night. His girlfriend, Kimberly Fox, who was charged with aggravated assault is now potentially facing charges resulting from the homicide.

If those charges are upgraded on Fox, it will be the seventh homicide in Thunder Bay during 2012.

Fox was originally charged with Aggravated Assault, Breach of Probation, and a Breach of Undertaking by police. The suspect has been remanded to custody since the incident.
