OPP investigating sudden death incident in Fort Frances

Ontario Provincial PoliceFORT FRANCES – On November 27, 2012, at approximately 10:34 am (CST), officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a deceased male located inside a residence at the Elizabeth Street Manor located on the 1300 block of Elizabeth Street in Fort Frances, Ontario.

The OPP Forensic Identification Unit is assisting the Regional Coroner to confirm the identity of the male and determine the cause of death.  A post mortem examination will be conducted on November 28, 2012 at 11:00 pm at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP North West Region Crime Unit and further information will be released as it becomes available.
