breaking dawnTHUNDER BAY – Entertainment – Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2: The latest in the Twilight Saga, starring Robert Pattinson, Kristin Stewart and Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn: Part 2 picks up where part one left off with the birth of Bella Swan as a Vampire and the birth of the child she and Edward created. A child born to a, at the time, human mother and a Vampire father they name Renesmee, played by MacKenzie Foy.

The Vampire Irina, played by Magge Grace, see’s Renesmee and beleiving her to be a vampire child, which is an extreme violation of vampire law, reports her existence to the Volturi. Bella and the Cullens find out about Irina’s actions and begin to gather any allies they can assemble to prove that Renesmee is not a vampire child. Unlikely allies such as the nearby wolf packs and others from around the world agree to help the cullen’s and to try and save Renesmee from the Volturi.

Once the Voluturi arrive the movie takes on the most action packed scenes in the entire franchise of the Twilight Saga. Breaking Dawn: Part 2 is the final movie in the Twilight Saga and is does not disapoint. Many fans have been waiting a long time to see the final outcome of the series on screen and although the story has shifted from a love story to an action and family focussed theme it still brings the author and producer Stephanie Meyer’s original story to life in a fantastic way.

Although many may be sad that this particular cult franchise has ended for now, Breaking Dawn: Part 2 goes out in a big way with many twists, turns, new characters and surprises. It seems they saved the best for last with the closing chapter in the Bella Swan story.

Having read the all the books, this movie gets a rare 5 out of 5 stars.
