THUNDER BAY – MPP Bill Mauro has decided who he will support for the next leader of the Liberal Party of Ontario. Mauro, the current MPP for Thunder Bay Atikokan announced he will be supporting Sandra Pupatello to replace outgoing Premier Dalton McGuinty as the Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party. Today, Glen Murray and Kathleen Wynne other candidates for the Liberal leadership are in Thunder Bay.
“I had the privilege to serve with Sandra Pupatello in government” commented Mauro. “While I value the work and experience the other leadership candidates bring to our party, I believe Sandra’s knowledge and commitment to Northern issues are overwhelming reasons why I am supporting her efforts to be the leader of our party”. Mauro also cited Pupatello’s work in a number of Ministries as additional reason for his support”.
Pupatello said: “Having Bill’s support is important because it tells me the change we are looking for is possible. Bill will make sure we listen to the issues that matter to people in the North.”
