THUNDER BAY – The race to replace Dalton McGuinty is heating up. Today, Gerard Kennedy is announcing the launch of his leadership bid for the Ontario Liberal leadership.

Kennedy has launched the bid via the Internet with a Tweet. “Thanks to everyone for your encouragement – proud to announce my bid for ON Lib Party leader today,” Tweeted Kennedy.

The choices for Liberal delegates at their convention now include Glen Murray, Kathleen Wynne, Gerard Kennedy, Charles Sousa, Sandra Pupatello, and Eric Hoskins. All of the candidates except Pupatello are from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
