Third Homicide of the Year in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The victim of an assault and robbery on Thursday afternoon died in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre as a result of his injuries. Thunder Bay has now had its third homicide of the year.

29 year old Jeffery Charles Tomagatick a resident of Thunder Bay appeared in court today facing charges of 2nd Degree Murder, Robbery, and Breach of Probation in conjunction with the death of 50 year old Murray Jr. Keesic also of Thunder Bay. Tomagatick was also facing a number of charges stemming form outstanding warrants.

Tomagatick has been remanded into custody until his next court date of September 20th, 2012.

The victim and his assailant were known to each other according to police.
