Crimebeat – Robbery goes Wrong – Victim has died of injuries

THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Updated – An attack that happened during a suspected home robbery has lead to the death of a fifty-year old man. Police state they will be sharing more information later today.

Thunder Bay Police were called to the rear of a home in the 200 block of North Syndicate Avenue regarding an apparent robbery which had taken place at approximately 12:30PMEDT today. A twenty-nine year old male allegedly assaulted a fifty-year old male during the robbery. The victim was seriously injured and is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

AT present the CSI Unit is on site.

The accused was arrested by police a short distance away from the crime scene.

Both the accused and victim were known to each other. Charges are pending in the incident.
