Finger Trap THUNDER BAY – Motorcycle enthusiasts ride to bring joy at Christmas through the Annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride in support of The Salvation Army Christmas Toy Campaign.

Bikes sporting stuffed toys, trucks, dolls and other toys will make their way across town, gathering at Thunder Bay Harley-Davidson between 12:00Noon and 1:00PMEDT on Saturday, September 15, 2012. The ride will leave at 1:00PMEDT with the bikers travelling through the city to The Salvation Army Community & Residential Services at 545 Cumberland St. N. arriving about 1:25PM where they will present their toys.

The toys will be distributed to children in Thunder Bay during this Christmas season.

Thunder Bay motorcycle clubs Harley Owners Group, Bondslave Motorcycle Club, Superior Riders, Ontario Northwest Retreads, Team Code 3, and Infidels MC Thunder Bay in partnership with The Salvation Army are hosting the event.

The Salvation Army thanks all the bikers who participate in the event, members of clubs as well as the many independent riders who come out each year. Their generous gifts make this event so successful year after year.

“Each gift means that a struggling family will have a better Christmas. There will be tears of joy instead of sadness because the bikers cared for their neighbours. We thank the motorcycle community for helping to restore dignity and hope this Christmas,” said Major Mervyn Halvorsen, Executive Director, The Salvation Army Community & Residential Services.
