THUNDER BAY – The decision by the government-appointed North West Local Health Integration Network to close the Thunder Bay Interim Long Term Care Centre will force more than 50 people out of their nursing home and into other facilities. The force move is traumatic for the frail, elderly and disabled residents.

Thunder Bay will be left with 65 fewer nursing home beds. In the meantime, there are 487 people on waiting lists for nursing home placements.

Attend a public meeting to learn more about this issue and to support the campaign for quality care for those in need.

When: Tuesday September 11, 7:00pm
Where: Lakehead Labour Centre located at 929 Fort William Road in Thunder Bay
