Camp Quality 2011

THUNDER BAY – A Camp Quality camper’s mother wrote last night that she loved this blog because she got to be a fly on the wall as she hadn’t received a phone call yet!

I thought I would be a fly on the wall today and see if I could observe as much as possible of what was going on. It was impossible!

The day was FULL of planned and unplanned activity. Visitors from Thunder Bay Multicultural Association, Regional Multicultural Youth Association and the World Dance Centre filled our morning. Soccer, tubing and fishing filled our afternoon. 40 visitors stopped in during the afternoon with most of them staying for a BBQ. These were important visitors, members of the Thunder Bay Police Association, and sponsors and supporters through our fundraisers.

There are traditions at Camp Quality that no one should mess with, so it was perfect that one of our favourite treats should be served for snack this afternoon and shared with our visitors.

Some finishing touches were put on our “Place of Solitude” today and tomorrow more work will be completed. I am adding some photos for all the “flies on the wall” of the project to date.

Forever in our Hearts.
Forever in our Hearts.

Words cannot express how important the completion of this project is to us.

The day is ending with activities that include balls, nets, hoops, camp fire and cards with friendship, laughter and harmony.

Friday morning, two campers will be interviewed on Superior Morning and then we are off for a tour of North America. More on that in Blog # 8.
