THUNDER BAY – Change is coming at the top of Tbaytel. The Board of Tbaytel announced today that it has launched a search for a company leader to replace Don Campbell who announced his intention to retire within the next year. Mr. Campbell this morning told Tbaytel customers, management and staff that after five years as CEO he will give up the “excitement and challenge” of leading Tbaytel.
“Don joined us in 2008 in what started out to be an interim assignment. He achieved such an immediate positive connection with our customers, communities and employees that the Board convinced him to stay on,” said Tbaytel Board Chair, Michael Power. “His leadership of the team has set the bar very high in terms of commitment to customer service. It is that level we will be aiming to meet or exceed in the hunt for our new CEO”.
During Don’s term Tbaytel paid dividends totaling over $100 million to The City of Thunder Bay, saw revenue increase every year and supported almost 100 community events throughout the region.
